Description
DCS Laboratory Voice Recording Systems provide fully automatic simultaneous recording from 4 up to 256 phone lines.
The system contains the software installed on PC and one or more LineR-4 or LineR-8 adapters, connected via USB or Ethernet port. It is possible to connect up to 32 devices for simultaneous recording of up to 256 lines.
After incoming or outgoing call is detected, VRS starts recording the conversation to new (compressed) .wav file. At the end of the call the new call record is added to database stored on PC hard disk. Depending on compression settings one hour of voice traffic can occupy from 2 to 27 MB of hard disk space. The VRS system provides automated regular archiving (daily, weekly and monthly) as well as deleting of old records.
The VRS application allows managing the calls database: browsing, playing, editing and deleting records. Browser has user friendly interface and provides a vast range of managing features. User can search and filter records by phone and trunk number, date, duration etc. The VRS also allows to get simultaneous access to calls' database from several PCs located in LAN.
Additional VRS features are:
- Tone or voice notification about the call is being recorded. The notification can be turned on or off.
- Caller ID detection in DTMF and FSK formats as well as Russian ANI standard **.
- Automatic gain control.
- Flexible settings: you can define what types of calls should be recorded, compression type, minimum call duration for each line etc.
- Detect and skip not answered and fax/data calls.
- Telephone answering machine features.
- Online call monitoring of selected line.
The additional benefits of VRS with TAPI support are:
- Support for calls' recording from/to digital phones, DECT phones and IP phones.
- The number of lines the VRST requires is less than the number of extensions, which must be monitored for recording. In fact, the system requires as many lines, as many calls should be recorded simultaneously.
- Integration with PBX Call Tarifficator software family products allows more detailed browsing features.
Ethernet versus USB:
- With Ethernet support there is no need to place VRS hardware near the PC with installed software.
